Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Registration

Tues., May 15th from 9 am-2 pm

Age Requirements

Pre-K- 4 years old by September 1, 2012

Kindergarten- 5 years old by September 1, 2012

The following documents are needed:

1.  Your child's original birth certificate with official raised seal

2.  Your child's social security card

3.  Your child's immunization records

4.  Proof of residency- One of the following will be accepted: deed, mortgage statement, incorporated lease (real esate lease), non-incorporated lease agreement (landlord provides proof of residency by producing a signed, notorized affidavit verifying that parents reside at that address

Last Day of School Approved by Board of Education

The last day of school for Calvert County students will now be Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Schools will dismiss 2-hours early on June 12. The last day for prekindergarten students will be Tuesday, June 5, 2012.

The last work day for 10-month employees will be Wednesday, June 13, 2012.

The original calendar for school year 2011-2012 included five additional school days in case schools were closed for inclement weather or some other unforeseen reason. Because schools were only closed for three days for Hurricane Irene, the Board of Education adjusted the calendar.

This decision is contingent upon schools being able to be open every scheduled day between now and the end of the school year.

 

 

Change in Afterschool Hours

Effective Wednesday, February 15, 2012, anyone entering/picking up students from after school activities at Mutual Elementary School after 3:45 p.m. will need to enter the building through the cafeteria. We apologize for any inconvenience; however, this change provides additional security for our students and staff during after school hours.

CCPS Change in School Hours: Mutual, 2011/12

Please note the change in Mutual's hours for the upcoming school year. The AM bus window for arrivals is now
8:15-8:25 am, and school starts at 8:30 am. AM Prek will dismiss at 11:10. The PM bus window for dismissal is
3:15-3:30 pm, with dismissal beginning at 3:15 pm. This is a 15 minute difference from the last school year.

No students should be dropped off prior to the beginning of the AM bus window, as staff are reporting to school at
that time. We hope this information is helpful in determining your schedule and arrangements for the upcoming
school year. Before and after care is still available at Mutual.
